“There's a reason Leonard Cohen, for whom Charley and Hattie Webb sing backup, refers to them as "the sublime Webb Sisters." Instant converts cheered and whistled for their spine-tingling, deadly-precise harmonies.”  Montreal Gazette

Born into a family of musicians in Kent, England, Charley and Hattie are The Webb Sisters.

Beguiling, dynamic performers with hugely expressive voices and plangent harmonies, they are highly skilled multi-instrumentalists and songwriters of originality and intelligence. Ingénues yet thinkers, the sisters' youthful energy and musical training combine in adventurous, lyrical and emotionally enthralling performances.

Their singing and playing (harp, guitar, mandolin and more) draw from the folk and pop traditions of Britain and the United States. The Webb Sisters have recorded two albums, building a following in the UK and achieving album and record of the week on iTunes and BBC Radio Two.

The Webb Sisters represented the UK at America's 400th Anniversary celebrations, contributed songs to several major TV shows, recorded a new song for a Judy Collins tribute album alongside the likes of Dolly Parton and Rufus Wainwright, and have performed on major concert tours with artists such as Jamie Cullum, James Morrison and Jason Mraz.

Most recently, The Webb Sisters were honoured to be touring and singing with one of their idols, Leonard Cohen, and have recorded their new album, Savages, with multiple Grammy-winning producer, Peter Asher. The new CD includes several songs written by the girls, plus their version of Leonard Cohen’s ‘If It Be Your Will’.

“The Webb Sisters provided choral richness and gave an exquisite rendition of one of Cohen's best tunes, "If It Be Your Will." (Usually it's a disappointment when backup singers do the star's material. Not in this case.).”  Huffington Post
It is always good to be able to promote talented young local musicians and we are very please to welcome back Rebecca De Winter. Her sound fuses the alternative pop soul of Ryan Adams with the pure piano balladry of Ben Folds and Regina Spector. Originally from Bedford and formerly of indie-folk band Tinker Jack, Rebecca has honed her talents and songwriting partnerships to concentrate on her solo project.

Her debut album produced by Ru Cook (The Johnny Parry Trio) and Nick Mailing (The Quireboys), was released in June 2011 and is now also available on itunes, Amazon and CD Baby. Rebecca has continued to work collaboratively with songwriter David Litchfield (also of Tinker Jack) and has created the album with a number of talented musicians. She has also produced several intriguing and quirky videos.

Such is her versatility that Rebecca De Winter can undertake anything from a solo performance with piano through to a full-band collective including strings, brass, guitars and percussion. Former band support slots have included Electric Soft Parade, The Leisure Society, Au Revoir Simone, Vanessa Peters and Diana Jones and although a new venture, Rebecca De Winter has already supported the likes of Eve Selis, Rod Picott and Amy Wadge.
